On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me Nine Ladies Dancing...We can use another girl for the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge on Papercraft Planet. Since I was pressed for time I decided to combine this challenge with the Whiff of Joy Challenge #11 as well. Heather has provided another great sketch for this week's WOJ challenge. The image is Melinda Blowing Kisses, but I have her blowing glittered snowflakes instead of her little hearts. I colored her with Prismacolors and cut her out, put Stickles on her wings and on the flowers on her jeans. All DP is from Cosmo Cricket Wonderland. Circles were cut with Nestabilities and Melinda was mounted on them. Ribbon is from Michael's dollar bin and flowers stacked from Michael's bridal section, with rhinestone added to center. Sentiment was from Verve, cut out and corners rounded, attached on dimensionals. Three little Dew Drops on the bottom.Stamps: Whiff of Joy - Melinda Blowing Kisses, Verve Winter Wonder. I wanted to do this week's Papercraft Planet Sketch challenge, so made this card for my boyfriend's birthday which was yesterday. Didn't want to post it till today so he wouldn't see it here. : ) 
Mushy time. Have to say I feel I've found my soul mate in Chuck. Last year when I learned that my cancer had recurred he and I had only been dating about a month. I told him the news, gave him the opportunity to run without any guilt since we had been seeing each other such a short time. Without missing a beat, he said "you're not getting rid of me that easily". He has been such a source of strength and joy...laughed with me, cried with me, held me quietly when I didn't feel like talking. Added bonus, my kids are crazy about him too! Am I lucky, or what? : ) Okay, on to the card stuff now if you're still with me. Card base is from Stampin Up! Rich Regals (don't know the individual color names). The background DP is a pretty shimmery blue by Hot of the Press. I used a leftover scrap from a DCWV pack for the patterned DP strip, rounded a couple of corners, inked the edges. On top of that put the sentiment panel, which I printed from my computer, rounded some corners, inked edges, then used a cotton ball to smear some color across the white paper to tone it down. Cut the stars from heavy silver cardstock using a Cuttlebug die. The locket was cut from the same paper with a Spellbinders die, embossed and then inked while still in the die, then attached wtih dimensionals. The matching key is attached to the inside of the card, and the sentiment continued there says "That's how much I love you". Added glitter to the stars and stuck them down with my glue pen.
