Chillin' With the House Mouse Challenge #98

Now that it's officially summer time on the calendar, we can get ready for the really hot stuff! : )  Temperatures here have been crazy hot already - with several days of 103-104 weather in June.  We usually don't get that until August.  So it was easy to pick this House Mouse image for the summertime theme at the House Mouse and Friends Challenge.  I can definitely relate to chillin' in the sand with a glass of something cold, and my feet planted on an ice cube. LOL    The image was colored with Copics.  Clouds made using Distress Inks.  Birds were drawn in.  The side strips were embossed with a CB folder, and the seashells and sand dollar are CB dies.  Distressed the edges around the image and added the computer printed word.  I followed the sketch at Midnight Madness.  The DP is from Bearly Mine Designs.

This is the perfect image to reflect how to spend summer in the south. Our temps aren't much lower than yours, and where my son is in Arizona it got to 117. Yikes! We all need this adorable card in a poster size to stare at through the month of August. Great job on this. Hope you had a wonderful 4th!
