Celebrating With Blog Candy!!!!!!! EXTENDING DEADLINE

Start date for blog candy is 3/14/10. This post will stay at the top until it ends 3/31. ETA 3/28: I will be extending the end-date for this blog candy to 4/5, with winner chosen 4/6. I completely forgot I will be out of town from 3/31 to 4/4. Will be in Houston to be a bridesmaid (isn't there an age limit on bridemaids? hee hee) in a friends wedding. I didn't forget the wedding, just when I was supposed to be over there. So there will be more chances to enter with comments on new posted cards - I will have them on scheduled posts - so leave some comments! : ) I have also added another item, link in the list below.

Last February I had offered some blog candy in conjunction with another event that was going on. This time around I decided to offer some blog candy as a celebration. This past Thursday I had my second annual PET CT scan. As with last year, this scan was free of any signs of recurrent cancer, making this my third year to be cancer free! [Doing the happy dance]. So to celebrate...CANDY!!!

Here are the rules:
  1. Become a follower of my blog and post this blog candy on your blog, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win. Leave a comment letting me know you’ve done both, so that I can verify and put your name in the basket. If you are already a follower, post the candy on your blog and let me know, and you're entered.
  2. The blog candy will run until 3/31/10 at midnight CST. If you come back and leave comments on any subsequent posts after this starts and up to the deadline, you will be entered for another chance to win for each post you comment on (one comment per individual post, please). I plan to get back into the action and remember to post what I've made. I've been forgetting to do that. :(
  3. The winner will be chosen by random draw on 4/1/10 and will be posted on my blog that day. Please check back that day to see if you are the winner, and if you are you will have 72 hours to respond via e-mail with your address so I can get your goodies shipped out. If the candy is not claimed in that time, I will select another winner.

Here’s a list of what is included with the blog candy:
Cuttlebug Asian Bundle. Includes (4) 5 x 7 embossing folders, (4) 4.25 x 5.75 folders. These are gorgeous!
Basic Grey “Eskimo Kisses” 6 x 6 paper pad.
2 silver, 1 gold sheet of outline stickers (Anita’s Art Stamps)
1 sheet Spring theme vellum stickers (Sticker King)
1 sheet floral rub-on transfers (Royal & Langnickel)
1 sheet ‘High School Sayings” rub-ons (Me & My Big Ideas)
Cuttlebug ‘Invitation’ embossing folder (out of package, never used)
Blue label tin
Tiny glass bottle with cork
10 tags with cord
1 bottle Stickles Fruit Punch
1 sheet dimensional floral/frame stickers
Adhesive Metal Words (Colorbok)
Lattebella stamp from Stamping Bella (Mounted on EZ Mount, never used)

Paper Studio 1-7/16” circle punch.
3 large and 6 small spools of ribbon, various makers.

Ultimate Crafter's Companion - This was given to me as a gift, but I have only used it once just to check it out. I already have The Enveloper from this same company, a Scor-Pal, and then was more recently given Martha Stewart's score board, so really don't need another item that does all the same things sitting around collecting dust, so I've decided to add it to this blog candy.

A Fun Blog Candy!

I "won" a homemade gift by leaving one of the first 5 comments on Tammy's blog, so now I'll see who my first 5 are. The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you!
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year! (I will get it to you in the next month or so, hopefully - grin).
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. I have tons of ideas, but who knows what it will be? Not you, that's for sure!
5. The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog! (then come here and post, I WILL check your blog *wink*) The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

So....who will be the first 5 people?????

Some ATC's and Blog Candy

Today's post is for some of the cards I have made for Pat Adam's cause Cards 4 Kids at the Children's Hospital of Michigan. The administrator asked if Pat could come up with 1,000 valentines for the kids to swap with each other, parents and staff. She has received a wonderful response from other stampers and has gotten over 500 cards so far, with more coming in! I contacted Pat, telling her that I would like to offer some blog candy, along with some other stampers who are doing the same. I had originally planned on offering this when my blog counter hit 10,000, but it doesn't seem to be working...and besides, this is a much more worthy cause! : )
I personally will be making 25 cards to send, as well as adding in a couple from past posts that could be used either for Valentines or other use. I will get the rest posted probably tomorrow, as I'm still finishing up some (took a time-out to spend time with my daughter last week before she left). First, what I have made so far:
I have never made an ATC, so decided to give it a whirl. I made 10 of these. Used Bazzil paper for the base, attached a piece of BG LilyKate to that. I stamped and colored the HM stamp on white CS, cut it out and attached him to the card. Sprinkled the X and O confetti to look like he was tossing it up in the air. The sentiment was added with the tiny JustRite letters. Used the SU! curved tag punch, two of each color, to make the tag, stamped a little See D's heart sprig on front and back of each tag. On the back of the tag, I stamped Happy Valentine's Day using JustRite Trompe and Brayton fonts, added different colored rhinestones to the side of each. Left room at the bottom for the kids to write. Made a little pocket envelope for each one with this double sided CS I've had forever. Used the SU! punch again so the tag would show even in the envelope. That's it. They look really cute IRL. Now on to the goodies.

Alrighty...here's my blog candy offering:
  1. Glue Glider Pro with roll of Perma Tac adhesive.
  2. Box of Prima Mulberry Paper Flowers (60 Flowers).
  3. Vintage Toys stamp set from Hanna Stamps.
  4. Peppermint Twist stamp set from Inkadinkado.
  5. "Jen" stamp by Me & My Big Ideas.
  6. Container of Indigo Blue Fun Flock by Stampendous.
  7. Unmounted "Peeking Kitty" stamp (3 pieces-face and paws) by Eureka Stamps, approx 3 x 5".
  8. ETA: JustRite Harmony Classic Circle Stamper II (2 5/16"). Round wooden stamper only, new in package.
  9. Embossed foil autumn leaves, embossed foil butterflies (several colors).
  10. Adhesive Metal Words (Friends, Celebrate, Cherish)
  11. Epoxy garden embellishments.
  12. Five sheets outline stickers.

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post. You don't have to send cards to Pat to be eligible, but that sure would be wonderful! I will put your name into a drawing and will draw a winner on February 8th. If you would like to contribute to this project, please send Pat an e-mail letting here know. Details can be found here at Pat's site. The deadline for getting cards to Pat is February 7Th. Please help if you can.

Award and Some Candy

Being a slave driver today, since I seem to have some more energy today...Doing house cleaning and dragging my son and niece down with me. :) My daughter comes in from college this evening and will be here for a week. CAN'T WAIT!! Have some things I meant to post a couple days ago, but the Post It note fell of my monitor and I forgot. Plus, I've slept since then and brain function sometimes seems to get wiped clean just by doing that. HAHAHA! Will hopefully get a card posted today.

Karen over at 6 Wacky Women left me this award a couple days ago. Thank you so much Karen! That's very sweet. I check out her (their) blog everyday; some gorgeous stuff there! We're supposed to pass it on to five people. This is the hard part.
Finally, Debbie is giving away some great candy on her blog Passion for Crafts to celebrate 12K visits. Nice candy Debbie!
EDITED TO ADD: FOR ANYONE WANTING TO SEND CHRISTMAS CARDS TO RECOVERING SOLDIERS
I knew I was forgetting something. Must not have turned brain completely on this morning.
There was an e-mail circulating around with an address to send Christmas cards to recovering wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a fake, so called, and sure enough the address is incorrect and the lady gave me the correct addie.
Holiday Mail for Heroes
P.O. Box 5456
Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456
Try to have all mail there by December 10. The cards will then be taken to Walter Reed Hospital and distributed. I think this is a very small thing we can do to let those soldiers know we appreciate what they have gone through.
